Experienced Support Engineer

Webster Computer is accepting resumes for Field Support Engineers in its Eagle Farm, QLD Office.

The role is varied with hardware and software support of Intel based IBM, HP and Websys servers both onsite and remotely. Networks supported are from 5 - 100 user and include Terminal Services, Exchange, Remote site VPN and peripheral support. You will also be involved in the integration and test of new computers and the project management of installations

You will also be trained in administration including order and contract entry, shipping, purchase order reconciliations, returns procedures, workshop builds and scheduling, service call logging and Help Desk.

WEBSYS uses a replicated SQL/Access database between its Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane offices. You will be given training in this and VPN/IP Telephone technology.

Knowledge of Microsoft Server products, and skills with Exchange, VPN, IP Telephony and Red Hat/Unix would be viewed well.

Wages are determined by your skill level and years of field experience.

Trainee Engineer

Webster Computer is also looking for a Trainee under the Federal Traineeship scheme for applicants doing Cert III or Cert IV in its Queensland Office. The wage is determined by the number of years since leaving school.

Those who live local to Eagle Farm are preferred. A manual driver’s licence is required.
